Five Years (B)old: Reflecting on Our Innovageous Journey, Imagining What’s Next

Five years ago, we launched Innovageous with a bold vision: to build the capacity of schools and organizations to implement innovative and courageous solutions that transform education for students and families. We believed there was a way to widen our impact beyond school-based roles—by partnering with leaders, educators, and organizations to create meaningful, lasting change.

Since then, we’ve grown in ways we could have only imagined. Together with our partners, we’ve:

• Served 2 state education agencies, 28 districts/networks, 60 schools, and 24 nonprofits/businesses

• Collaborated with 16 consulting partners who bring expertise and passion to every project

• Worked with 4,000+ educators and engaged 500+ school leaders

• Reached 250,000+ students, supporting their success and future opportunities

• Helped schools secure over 1 million dollars in funding and resources to strengthen teaching and learning

• Published 60 free resources and recorded 15 asynchronous PD sessions, available on our website

• Hosted 3 Leadership Institutes—including our first-ever sold-out Innovageous School Design Institutes

• Awarded 4,252 approved Act 45/48 credits through PDE

• Achieved 88% recurring clients, with most organizations returning for more than one partnership opportunity

• Received 99% participant satisfaction on feedback survey and powerful end-of-project feedback

• And seen incredible student achievement growth, thanks to the tireless efforts of the educators and leaders we serve!

One of our proudest milestones has been the launch of Innovageous School Design—a framework built on high-quality indicators of best practice for each principle of transformative school design. Alongside this framework, we’ve released free resources to support schools nationwide and brought leaders together for our first-ever sold-out Innovageous School Design Institutes. These institutes provided educators and school teams with practical tools, collaborative learning, and inspiration to reimagine what schools can be.

Over the past five years, our partnerships have stretched across Pennsylvania, Maryland, DC, New Jersey, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, California, and beyond. We’ve worked with schools at every level—early childhood programs through higher education—providing professional development, coaching, systems building, family engagement, communications, and strategic planning support.

What we’re most proud of, though, is the relationships we’ve built. School leaders have trusted us to look deeply into their programs, strengthen their systems, support their staff, and empower families. Every educator and leader we’ve partnered with has contributed to the Innovageous journey—helping us grow, learn, and serve with authenticity and purpose.

As we celebrate five years of impact, we’re not slowing down! We’re expanding our team, growing Innovageous School Design, and continuing to dream big about what schools and communities can be.
